The payload

Independent of the drone that carries it.

The Hummingbird functions completely independently from the drone. It can even be used hand-held or mounted on other vehicles, with its own power supply, onboard display and barcode scanner.

Scanning range up to 2m using the additional DroneScan 3 Watt illumination beam focused on the scanning area
Attaches easily to a drone purchased independently from local suppliers — and the drone can be repurposed for inspections
A skilled operator scans at 2 seconds per barcode, or 5 seconds per pallet where bin location information is required
Onboard LED lights use colour and pattern to give the pilot instant visual feedback, even while scanning high pallets
The operator connects to the onboard WiFi and uses a browser to configure data filters, light and scanner settings, and download scanned data

Travels with you

Designed to travel in normal checked airline luggage within weight limits. Sets up in 10 minutes, packs away in 5.

Battery strategy

A drone battery lasts around 10 minutes. Continuous all-day scanning typically means rotating two sets of six batteries between the aisle and the charger.

Industrial build

Built for industrial use — takes knocks, scrapes and heavy landings without going out of alignment or focus. Fits to a drone in 15 minutes with 8 bolts.
